The Seattle Mariners have agreed to a one-year, $1.6 million deal with Yoshihisa Hirano.

Hirano has spent the last two seasons with the Arizona Diamondbacks as a valuable reliever.

He appeared in 137 games for Arizona and posted a 3.47 ERA.

Hirano can earn $500,000 in bonuses based on pitching appearances: $50,000 each for 30 and 35, $75,000 apiece for 45 and 50, $100,000 for 55 and $150,000 for 60.

The San Francisco Giants have brought back Pablo Sandoval on a Minor League deal.

The deal is reportedly worth $2 million with $750,000 in incentives.

Sandoval is rehabbing from Tommy John surgery, but could prove a valuable reverse infielder for the Giants.

The Kansas City Royals have brought back Greg Holland on a Minor League deal.

Holland will make $1.25 million on the one-year deal if he's added to the 40-man roster. He also has the chance to earn more through performance bonuses.

The reliever was 1-2 with a 4.54 ERA last year in 40 relief appearances with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Milwaukee Brewers have agreed to terms on a contract with David Phelps.

The deal is for one year with a club option for 2021.

The 33-year-old reliever finished last season with the Chicago Cubs. Between the Cubs and Toronto Blue Jays in 2019, he made 41 appearances and posted a 3.41 ERA.

The Cincinnati Reds have agreed to terms on a four-year, $64 million deal with Nick Castellanos.

The deal matches the biggest free-agent contract in team history.

It allows Castellanos to opt out and become a free agent after the 2020 or 2021 seasons. He gets salaries of $16 million in 2020, $14 million in 2021, and $16 million in 2022 and 2023.

There's a mutual option for 2024 at $20 million with a buyout of $2 million.

Shortstop Trevor Story and the Colorado Rockies are in agreement on a two-year, $27.5 million contract, sources familiar with the deal told ESPN's Jeff Passan on Friday.

The deal buys out the final two years of arbitration for Story, who will reach free agency at 29 in 2021-22.

The 30-year-old had been seeking $22.5 million in arbitration while the Astros had been offering $17.5 million.

He has hit at least 20 home runs in five of his six seasons for the Astros and was named the 2017 World Series MVP.

The Detroit Tigers have agreed to terms on a contract with Ivan Nova.

Matt Hall was designated for assignment to make room for Nova on the 40-man roster.

Nova, 34, made 34 starts for the Chicago White Sox last season, posting a 4.72 ERA in 187 innings.

Alex Wood is returning to the Los Angeles Dodgers on a one-year, $4 million deal.

Wood, 29, can earn an additional $6 million through incentives.

He was part of the trade that brought Yasiel Puig and Matt Kemp to the Cincinnati Reds from the Dodgers. Wood made just seven starts for the Reds in 2019 due to nagging injuries.
